The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

It took me a long while before deciding to cave in and read this book because I was convinced that it would turn out to be over-hyped and a disappointment. Having now read it, I’m very pleased to say that this is one book that definitely lived up to all the hype surrounding it and thoroughly deserves all the praise and accolades it has garnered.

This is such an intelligent thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and found it incredibly hard to put down. I loved how Larsson cleverly wove all the strands of his complicated and involved story together and, at the same, kept the pace of the story hurtling towards its conclusion.

Now I can’t wait to get its sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and I’m sure that it won’t be too long before I’ve read the entire trilogy. It is such a shame that the author didn’t live to see the incredible success that his writing would bring about.
